When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause.
During the weekend when I thought about updating, the idea of writing more about the Young Philosophers’ Organization and my death as a martyr of free thinking in that group kept coming to mind. I promise this will be the last update concerning that group.
First, I’d like to personally thank the leader of those sheep for helping my webpage reach new heights Sunday afternoon. An all-time record of fifty-six unique guests was reached by my webpage on that day. I’ll make no secret of who it was who helped me break the previous record, it was none other than RubyJoon@aol.com. By urging her Koresh-ish followers to bash me and my page through my guestbook, she did me many favors. I have already been thanked by other webmasters for the additional hits to their sites caused by spill-over from my site. I also urge each of you to check out my guestbook — it’s absolutely wonderful. Oh, on the subject of guestbooks, I’d like to thank whoever it was that posted the porn ad in RubyJoon’s guestbook (you know who you are). I’d also like each of you to check out RubyJoon’s guestbook. There is at least one example of damn good writing in there; written by the same person who posted the porn ad. I’d be flattered if you thought that was my writing, but I can assure you it’s not. Check out that disclaimer on Ruby’s page. No negative comments? What!? So much for creative development.
I trust that someday the sheep on that list will find out about their list owner’s censoring ways. I sent two letters making apologies and clarifications to earlier comments, neither ever made it to the list. Although I did receive more emails a couple of hours later from RubyJoon@aol.com bashing me and my personal appearance (how insightful of you, not to mention your favorite word: mature). None of her letters ever contained anything of meaning, all just petty personal attacks. I wonder why she doesn’t have a picture of herself on her webpage… hmmm.
For such an open-minded organization they were really unaccepting to a person (such as myself) of differing opinion, thoughts, experience, and, allegedly, appearance. What really amazed me is how they claim to support homosexuals (and other people who aren’t so popular with the majority of people), but called me a homosexual as an insult. Quite hypocritical if you ask me.
I hate to keep going back to RubyJoon@aol.com, but she typified the idiocy on that list completely (probably the most stupid, close-minded person on the list). I really loved the way she bashed Pixie’s piece of writing (which she copy-and-pasted from Pixie’s webpage) and then upbraided Pixie for copyright infringement, claiming Pixie had inaccurately cited a quotation from her page. What really amazed me, though, was how she could bash an otherwise coherent, insightful piece of writing. Those who can, do and those who can’t, criticize?
I’m sure I’m leaving many complaints out, but that’s okay. To quote Mr. Paules, “I’m through.”
Nice and easy does it,
Nice and easy does it every time.
