Jeff, one of my fur-children (my first), is in the hospital tonight. He has a string of kidney stones — some, according to the vet, are huge. The stones blocked up his bladder, which ruptured, spilling urine into his abdomen.
Tonight, he’ll need a catheter, fluids and whatever else. Then he’ll need surgery to repair his bladder, assuming it can be repaired.
This is actually good news. Out of all the other possibilities.
The bad news is that we can’t afford it. We’re, once again, relying on my parents to help us — and they can’t afford it either.
And we just lost Sam last week.
