Pat Robertson Leg-Presses 2,000 Pounds?

So, religious-right leader Pat Robertson is claiming to be able to leg-press 2,000 pounds because of a special high-protein drink he’s concocted.

Such a claim would work if it weren’t so easy to find out the truth.

In fact, as Clay Travis, an online sports commentator for CBS, noted, the leg-press record is held by Dan Kendra, a former Florida State University quarterback. Kendra leg-pressed 1,335 pounds, but the effort was so strenuous it caused the capillaries in his eyes to burst.

Oh, if only Pat Robertson were blind and Rush Limbaugh were permanently deaf.

The religious right can’t even tell the truth about their own exercise habits.

In related news, the Texas Freedom Network Education Fund has just released a report exploring the state of the religious right in Texas.
